As you may know, I’ve had a long-standing passion for working with and helping seniors. This passion for senior care began over 25 years ago while assisting my grandmother, Eleanor, through her aging process and finding the ideal senior living community for her. I cherished my time with her, including our weekly pizza outings to Perry’s Pizza. I also loved engaging with the other residents. This experience inspired me to focus my career on supporting seniors and their families.
For the past 12 years, I have managed large senior living communities throughout Southern California, overseeing all aspects of operations—care, dining, activities, maintenance, housekeeping, administration, and sales. My role as Executive Director involved ensuring the satisfaction of residents and families and striving to create vibrant communities with high standards of care and dedicated staff.
I am now directing this passion, experience, and background toward a new role: consulting and referral placement services to help seniors and their families find their ideal senior living community. I recently founded Vineyard Seniors to provide personalized placement assistance in identifying and locating the best living options based on individual needs and preferences.
At Vineyard Seniors, I will carefully listen to you and your loved one’s needs, including geographic and financial considerations. I will then provide a personalized list of senior living options that meet your requirements. I will also arrange and accompany you and your family on community visits, help with essential questions, and support you throughout the decision-making process—and the best part is that my services are at no cost to you!
With this experience in the senior living industry, I am committed to being a caring, knowledgeable and essential advocate in helping friends and families to find the right fit for your loved one in senior care. Can’t I just find a community on my own?
Many times families will get a referral from someone they know or do a Google search for communities. We take the time to learn about you or your loved one and match your needs with the right community that fits you and your budget. We know the options already. Our services are free to you.
What is the difference between some of the other senior referral options?
If you do a Google search, one of your first results will be one of the larger referral agencies that provide you with a list of places to check out on your own. We set up the appointment and accompany you to help you with your decision.
What does your service cost me?
Our fee for services are a referral fee paid by the community that you end up choosing. You pay no costs for our services and there is no up-charge by the community.
How do I know what to look for?
We help guide you in that process. We ask questions and learn about your needs, wants and desires and help match those to the right community.
What are the costs associated with living in a community and what is the lease term?
Many communities will quote a rental rate for the apartment and will charge separately for any care needed, based upon their assessment of the resident. In addition, expect to pay a one-time community fee. Typical lease terms are month to month, with a 30-day notice required to vacate.
